Cafeteros Cycling Club and Team Mossman Tokeneke Racing plan to stage the Tokeneke Classic bicycle race around the Barkhamsted Reservoir in Central Connecticut again this August. The area was chosen because of the challenging terrain and spectacular beauty of the race course.
The race starts in the town of Hartland and races through the towns of Hartland and Barkhamsted

Parking is at Berg (or Burg) Field, on Rt 20 about 0.3 miles south-east of the Rt 20 / Rt 179 intersection.
THERE IS NO RACER PARKING AT THE START We have coordinated with the town to ensure that there is sufficient parking at Berg field.
To walk or ride from the Berg field parking area take the path through the woods or turn left onto Rt 20 west, go 0.3 miles and take left onto Rt 179. Follow signs for the start.
On-line race entry is at www.bikereg.com. Day-of race entry $15 surcharge. The start is about 0.5 miles from parking - about a 10 minute walk. Registration is at the East Hartland Volunteer Fire Department on Rt. 179, 0.5 miles from parking. THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE START.
Lunch will be available for purchase at the registration / start area, provided by the E. Hartland Soccer Association.
