Great course. I always do Union Vale, Bear, Jiminy and Battenkill.
One of the better if not the best road races I've participated in.

The 2009 race is scheduled for Sunday August 9th and we are applying for town approvals, etc. We plan to build on last year's successful race and continue with the improvements from last year:
- Designation as the New England Regional Championship Road Race
- Participation in the MCRA masters race series
- Participation in the LAJRS juniors race series
- Running the women in their own field (in response to last year's great turn-out)
- Extending the M35+ to 3 laps
- Keeping the three fields we added: Masters 55+, Men 4/5, and Juniors
- Lunch available for purchase at the registration area, provided by the E. Hartland Soccer Association
The Tokeneke Classic is a bicycle race organized by and for racers, looping around the Berkhamsted reservoir in central Connecticut. The area was chosen because of the challenging terrain and spectacular beauty of the race course. We think it is one of the best courses in the Northeast, and we've raced a few of them. The course consists of multiple loops around a hilly 22-mile circuit with about 2000 feet of climbing per lap.
